🔦 This Week in Analog Wellness
Each week, we’ll highlight one trend, brand, or idea reshaping the analog wellness landscape.
Trend of the Week: The Entryway Rule
The Minimalists said it well “Our phones are weapons of mass distraction.” The Entryway Rule, designed by The Minimalists, is very simple. Place your phone in one spot as soon as you get home, and every time you need to use your phone, you have to go to that one spot.
Watch The Minimalists explain it here: https://www.threads.com/@theminimalists/post/DJ1uH6svrcV?xmt=AQF0FGChzmhA7gK6QIliq7jIWOzrEyM18fEHzUDFShEVzA
✨ Why it matters: Tethering our phones to one place helps us put a mental lockbox on the distractions and helps us regain control of our lives and holistic wellbeing.
What is Analog Wellness?
According to the Global Wellness Institute, analog wellness is “a movement toward experiences that enhance human connection, presence, and physical engagement — without screens.” Think: journaling, walking meetings, live events, handwritten notes, long dinners, and eye contact.
But at Analog Social, we define analog wellness simply as:
How to stay human in a digitally saturated world.
We believe your environment is the #1 determinant of your success and holistic well-being.

🪴 Final Thought
and Jonathan Haidt appeared on Oprah’s podcast recently! Catherine rightly pointed out how many tech executives have publicly stated that they do not allow their children to use their own products/services. (You can follow both of them on Substack!)This is something every founder should be asking themselves: Would I allow a loved one to use what I’m building?
