Last week1, I challenged you to try a Sunrise Unplug—30 minutes before dawn, phone off, pen in hand. How did it go? Hit reply and share one insight you discovered (I can’t wait to hear!).
What Is Analog Wellness?
According to the Global Wellness Institute, analog wellness is
“a movement toward experiences that enhance human connection, presence, and physical engagement—without screens.”
At Analog Social, we like to define analog wellness simply as:
How to stay human in a digitally saturated world.
We believe your environment is the #1 determinant of your success and holistic well-being.
🔦 This Week in Analog Wellness
1. Humanities as Your AI-Era Superpower
In two recent Threads posts, I argued that the humanities aren’t dying—they’re becoming our competitive edge. As a Harvard PhD candidate in the humanities and founder of Analog Social, I believe our abilities in critical thinking, storytelling, and ethical reasoning will distinguish us as AI handles routine work. I recently put back on my academic hat to share critical thinking habits we all need in the age of AI here:
2. “Made by Humans” & “AI-Free” Labels
We’re already seeing “Made by Humans” and “AI-Free” badges crop up in art, publishing, and beyond. Could high-end galleries demand AI-free certification? Will your favorite boutique brand roll out a “Human-Only” label?
I’d love to know: Would you pay more for something guaranteed AI-free?
💡 Analog Moment of the Week
Analog Challenge: The “Human-Made” Test
Pick one piece of content this week (article, podcast, artwork).
Before engaging, ask: “How would my experience differ if this were AI-generated?”
Jot down your reflection in a notebook.
Reply to this email with one insight—I’ll share the best reflections next week.
