I love this idea very much. In fact, I started hosting in-person music meetups to revive the community once found in local concert venues before social media. I've experienced quite a mix bag of things. People love the idea of community but it's tough to get people out of the house and I've also experienced people showing up for the wrong reasons, which comes down to being protective of the community I'm trying to create.

I'm currently developing a beta-plan that will be invite-only and highly curated so people know that those using the platform are very committed to investing in the community and seeing it flourish.
My passion lies in design, art, print and tangibility—design you can touch, hold, hand to someone, and say: “Here. I made this.” I don’t know how that overlaps with your vision, but I feel like there’s potential alignment and I’m curious to see where you take this!
I love what you're doing and vwhere you're headed. Inspired by a network in Europe, and even yourself, I recently launched The Offline Club of Buffalo - screen-free gatherings and events. In a little under 2 weeks email sign-ups surpassed what I've gathered here over the course of months (just ~99 lovely subscribers). I got blog and news coverage. We have monthly events lined up, and I envision deeper connection and maybe even satellite events. People seem to be craving this. If you'd like to chat, and/or if there's potential for collaboration, I'm here for it.

It's so easy for me to imagine because this was my childhood and early adulthood. It's getting others to go along with it that's the problem. 🙂
